Nepal

Nepal officially the federal democratic republic of Nepal is a land locked country located in south Asia within an area of 147,181 square kilometer. It is located in the Himalayas and bordered to the north by China and to the south, east and west by India. Kathmandu is the nation’s capital largest metropolis. The mountaineers north of Nepal has eight of the world’s ten tallest mountains including the highest point of the earth Mt. Everest called ‘Sagarmatha’ (With 8848 meters)

Nepali is the official language of Nepal; it is derived from Sanskrit and was formally known as khas kura. Kathmandu valley is the main touristic areas of Nepal, likewise, Lumbini, Chitwan, Pokhra, and many more. Nepali speaks English so it is easy to get around. Hinduism is the major religion of Nepal. Buddhism, Christianity, Islam and Jainism are the other religions practiced in the country. Our Nepal is widely renowned as the birth place of Gautam Buddha. Nowadays Lumbini (the Birth place of Buddha) is one of the many places of Buddhist pilgrims and is visited by people from all across the world.

The weather and climate vary from hot summer to sever winters and its topography and altitude. It range from the tropical to the arctic. In the spring (between March and May) the temperature is mildly warm in the lowlands and while moderate in higher altitudes with plenty of opportunities to have tryst with the mountain views summer (Between June to August) it the monsoon season of Nepal. The weather is hot and wet at times. Monsoon in Nepal is not the typical monsoon of asia. It mostly rains during night and leaving the sky clean and clear by the morning making the Himalayan view more dramatic. Autumn (between September to November is the best tourist season in Nepal. This pick season for hiking and trekking as mountain views stunning and guaranteed. It is also the season of festivals as Nepal celebrates the biggest Hindu festival Dashain followed by Tihar. In the winter (Between December to February the weather is cool and sky is clear with occasional snowfalls at higher altitude. Perfect weather for hiking and trekking in the lower parts of the Himalayas. Morning and nights are cold and days are warm when sunny. Nepal is the country of extremes. The low land plains of Terai can have tropical temperature where the Himalaya can get to sub zero temperatures.

Nepal is regarded as one of the world’s favorite vacation playground, which offers high Himalayan peaks, tall mountains, divers’ climate, biodiversity, socio-cultural ethnicity at different places. Natural Heritages

Nearly one-third of the total length of the Himalayas and 8 of the world’s 14 highest peaks are in Nepal. Nepal occupied the 25 flowering plants, 85 more than 848 species of birds, 4% mammals, 11% world’s 15 families of butter flies, 600 indigenous plant families, and 319 species exotic orchids.

There are total of 9 national parks, 7 wildlife reserves, 3 hunting reserve including 11 buffer zone areas in and around protected areas covering a total of 28,998.67 sq. km. (19.70%) of the country’s total land.  There are more than 1300 peaks of over 6000 m. are confined to the Khumbhu Himalaya that is Everest area. Out of the total land of Nepal, 92.94% is covered by land and the rest 7.06% is covered by water.
